Sometimes it's the beautiful, wild and potent sense of a new chapter opening. You feel alive again, and you're not sure why or where it's going just yet. These moments are entirely linked to your Astrological Transits, especially when it comes to the Outer Planets.
Life has been sticky lately… I know we all feel the major energetic shifts happening in our world. Chaos seems to be all around us (thanks to many transits including Chiron connecting with Eris in Aries) while time seems to be speeding up, collective karma is at a massive breaking point, and everyone I know is coming to terms with the life they thought they would have vs the life we are now building in a new world.
This is why I am so passionate about looking at transits in birth charts.
If you have a pulse, you’ve been feeling the shifts of the cosmic tides over the last 2 years, and more deeply over the last 6 months. I knew radical changes were coming, and I had been sitting with what this might mean for me over the last year as I watched the planets approach the finality of each sign they transited.
As Neptune and Saturn approached my 7th house in Aries I had a deep knowing that the next 14 years (Neptune's length of time moving through that area of my chart) would usher me into collaboration (7th house) but I would have to radically change the way I am in relationship with people. Honestly? This made me a little nervous. “More relationship stuff?” I thought as my Libra rising life school echoed ‘Always’ back at me.
This is because anything moving through Aries will initiate me into become more bold, say what I really mean, and become unafraid to meet confrontation with others. It also means I need to see where those qualities have been out of touch within my own life. Where I’ve been selfish, self-focused, and have bulldozed others. Right on time, the minute Neptune shifted into my 7th house I was suddenly having "hard" conversations, having to firm up my boundaries with people, and meeting confrontation left right and centre.
"Damn" I thought, "that happened fast."
So what did I do? I went out and bought several books on boundaries, people pleasing and even one called "the courage to be disliked" because I knew that this transit will be moving me through old karmic patterns I've stored in this area of my life.
The story doesn't end there. I had to come to terms with the fact that while this is happening Chiron in the sky is forming an exact square to my natal Chiron in Cancer, Pluto conjunct my IC, Neptune and Saturn are trine my Leo Stellium + all the other intense and potent transits I am currently moving through, but I wont bore you with those details just now.
10 years ago I would have been lost in a sea of confusion, delusion, and anger at the massive transits I am currently experiencing in my chart. Now? I have the tools at the ready to move through this process and ride these cosmic tides.
Even if you don’t know it yet, there is major areas of your life shifting in 2025.
Astrological transits are karmic portals into new ways of being.
They will activate old karmic wounds, and open the possibility of creating new karmic patterns within you (for better, or worse.)
Astrological transits are opportunities into shedding, releasing, and seeing out dated ways of being that are creating stagnation within you.
Transits can break you open, shift your reality, force you to shed old versions of yourself. But they can also show you your sacred path. They offer glimpses and radical shifts into new landscapes and possibilities.
My favourite part of all this? You get to make the choice through what you’re willing to see, shift, and grow within your life. Astrology does not control your fate. It offers you invitations into meeting new versions of yourself over and over again.
Often the louder the wound is, the more you have repressed, ignored, and refused to meet its medicine.
This isn’t your fault. You were never given the tools.
In fact, the very tools that would have radically shifted your reality have been suppressed, hidden, and buried with time. Of course, this is why it's called the Occult. And this is why it's forbidden, frowned upon, or called "the Devil's work". This is why so many women, magicians, and oracles were burned, beaten, and shut up.
The truth is…
Transits will shift your life whether you like it or not, so why not work with the cosmic tides instead of trying to swim against them?
Your life is always being activated by transit, whether you know it or not. You have several transits happening at once, which can create intense and chaotic moments, and beautiful openings (sometimes at the exact same time.)
The key here is, you have the choice. You can either understand the karmic signatures you’re moving through, grow, and change your reality. Or sink deeper into the karmic loops you’ve been stuck in your entire life.
It's entirely up to you (self responsibility sucks, doesn't it?)

Decoding Outer Planet Transits
The house of major transits will provide the “where” for the karmic portal. For instance, in a 7th house transit the “where” will be in your relationships.
The planet will provide the “what” for the karmic portal, meaning “what” is changing in your life. For instance, a Saturn transit will challenge and reshape your discipline, responsibilities, and the structure of your life.
The sign will provide the “how” for the karmic portal. For instance, a Virgo transit will initiate you into new ways of connecting with your health, your work, and your relationship to control, intolerance, and perfectionism.
Knowing this means you can then begin to acquire the tools to use while you move through a potent and powerful shift in your life by transit.
Your Astrological Tool Belt
Your astrological tool belt needs to be full of things that can help you find peace in moments of chaos and upheaval. Let me also clarify that peace looks different to everyone. Peace to me means taking time for walks in nature, having quiet time to recharge away from people, choosing not to engage with with trolls, not having to prove myself, choosing relationships that have unconditional love…. you get it. The tools you put in your tool belt are things that help you do what brings you peace. For me that looks like yoga, walks, saying no to a lot of things (and being okay with it), hypnosis, journaling, reading and, of course looking at my astrological chart to understand what karmic portal I am processing when I am going mad.
Tools to help you move through intense transits might look like paid tools such as astrology readings, hypnosis sessions, therapy, plant medicine journeys, massage, etc.
But the tools you gather shouldn’t always cost you money. The best tools are often free. Fresh air, movement, eating well, writing, laughing, sunsets… these are sacred medicines the earth naturally provides for us. When you’re in a massive transit that is bringing chaos into your life, these free tools are going to be the most important thing in your life.
Purchasing a book on boundaries and people pleasing might be the most sacred medicine you can provide yourself with.
Having a Past Life Regression might be the most sacred medicine you can provide yourself with.
Sitting on the beach and watching the sunset every night of the summer might be the most sacred medicine you can provide yourself with.
Make sure that you are utilizing the free medicines the earth naturally provides for you as your base line. The monetary things like sessions with healers should be bonuses.
This is just one example of how you can use your astrological transits to shift your reality. The key is, you have to be aware of what's coming. This doesn't mean you're trying to predict the future. We don't do that here. For instance, I know I am working with heavy 7th , 5th, 9th, and 11th house transits. I am going to focus my attention there. What are these areas going to need me to pay attention to as I move through the next 8-14 years?
This means tapping into the energy of what is being activated for you in your life through these radical shifts.
And I know, it gets complex the minute we start looking at the chart and bringing in all the moving pieces.
